Stainless steel (II)
303: By adding a small amount of sulfur and phosphorus to make it easier to machine.
303Se: It is also used to make machine parts requiring hot heading, because under such conditions, this stainless steel has good hot working.
304: i.e. 18/8 stainless steel.
304L: It is a variant of 304 stainless steel with low carbon content, used in situations where welding is required. The lower carbon content minimizes the precipitation of carbides in the Heat-affected zone near the weld, which may lead to intergranular corrosion of stainless steel in some environments.
304N: It is a type of stainless steel containing nitrogen, which is added to improve the strength of the steel.
