Stainless steel plate adopts a vertical external feature power supply

Thestainless steel plate adopts a vertical external feature for power supply. Attention should be paid to the welding of stainless steel pipes. The growth of steel pipe technology began with the rise of the bicycle manufacturing industry. The opening up of oil in the early 19th century, the manufacturing of ships, steam boilers, and aircraft during the two World Wars, the manufacturing of thermal power steam boilers after the Second World War, the growth of the chemical industry, and the drilling, production, and transportation of oil and natural gas all strongly propelled the growth of the steel industry in terms of variety, yield, and quality.

  1. Use a power supply with vertical external characteristics, and use positive polarity (welding wire is connected to the negative side) for direct current.

  2. It is generally suitable for welding thin steel pipes below 6mm, with the characteristics of beautiful weld formation and small welding deformation.

  3. The shielding gas is argon, with a purity of 99.99%. When the welding current is 50-50A, the argon gas flow rate is 8-0L/min, and when the current is 50-250A, the argon gas flow rate is 2-5L/min.

  4. The optimal length for tungsten and its protrusion from the gas nozzle is 4-5mm. In areas with poor shielding such as fillet welding, it is 2-3mm, and in areas with deep grooves, it is 5-6mm. The distance from the nozzle to the working position generally does not exceed 5mm.

  5. To prevent the appearance of welding pores, if there is rust, oil stains, etc. on the welding area, it is necessary to clean it.

  6. The length of the welding arc should be 2-4mm when welding ordinary steel, while 3mm is better when welding stainless steel. If it is too long, it will result in poor results.

When backing up the butt joint, gas shielding is also required to prevent oxidation of the back of the bottom weld bead.

  8. In order to effectively shield the welding pool with argon gas and facilitate welding operations, the tungsten and intermediate wire should generally be connected to the welding workpiece at an angle of 80-85 °, and the angle between the filling welding wire and the workpiece profile should be as small as possible, usually 0 °.

  9. Wind protection and ventilation. In windy areas, it is important to use mesh blocking methods, while indoors, appropriate ventilation methods should be adopted.
