What are the structural characteristics of alloy 59?

The solid solution state of this alloy is a face centered cubic austenite structure. After medium temperature sensitization treatment, although there are also grain boundaries and intragranular precipitates, the quantity is not significant. Numerous studies have shown that tungsten and copper are harmful to the thermal stability of nickel chromium molybdenum tungsten alloys, while alloy 59 contains neither tungsten nor copper, which is one of the important reasons for the high thermal stability of this alloy.
