What is AL-6XN stainless steel?

 　　AL-6XN stainless steel is also known internationally as UNS N08367 and domestically as 00Cr20Ni24Mo6N. Another brand is AL-6XN plus, which is called 00Cr21Ni25Mo6CuN domestically. These two grades are both super austenitic stainless steel developed by Allegheny Ludlum Co. in the United States.

　　The AL-6XN plus system controls the chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and nitrogen content in steel to the upper limit of 6X-6XN based on AL-6XN, resulting in a PRE value of about 50 for this alloy and no decrease in the thermal stability of the structure. In actual production, if the upper limit of chromium, nickel, molybdenum, and nitrogen in AL-6XN is controlled, it is the chemical composition of AL-6XN plus. Therefore, people do not believe that AL-6XN plus is a new brand.
