What is stainless steel?

   Stainless steel is a metal alloy composed of iron, chromium, silicon, carbon, nitrogen, and manganese. It is mainly known for its rust resistance and excellent corrosion resistance, which are key considerations for certain applications. To be recognized as' stainless steel ', the alloy must contain at least 10.5% chromium and no more than 1.2% carbon.

  Based on its internal composition, we can classify stainless steel into five categories:

  austenitic stainless steel

  Ferritic stainless steel

  Martensite stainless steel

  Duplex stainless steel

  Precipitation hardened steel
